When I had originally thought about my wedding, I wasn’t sure how to imagine having someone on site photographing the event—always watching. But Cody was encouraging, genuinely invested and involved in so many little details of the day without it being overwhelming. I never felt like cameras were in my face all day, which would have been terrifying for me. Instead, moments happened naturally. Nothing felt posed, which made the pictures more authentic and meaningful. He knew how to be a part of each moment of the day without making his involvement a distraction or to making himself the center of the event.

It’s totally not my jam to be the center of attention. My husband and I, we are sort of awkward anyway, but with Cody we were so comfortable. He just let us be us.

Some photographers care about the art of capturing the right shot. Others care about the people. For Cody—he stands out above the rest because he isn’t focused on one side or the other—you get both.
